How to make Chicken Stew

  1. Step 1

    Heat oil in a pan over high heat and brown all the chicken. Set aside.

  2. Step 2

    Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and garlic, sauté until the onions are translucent.

  3. Step 3

    Add in the turmeric, paprika, curry powder, thyme, and mixed herbs. Saute until spices are fragrant.

  4. Step 4

    Add in the flour and mix well. This will thicken the sauce.

  5. Step 5

    Add in tomato sauce and mix well.

  6. Step 6

    Add the chicken drumsticks, stock cubes, and 2 cups of water. Water mustn't cover the chicken completely.

  7. Step 7

    Add in the carrots, cover, and let the stew cook for 35-45 minutes on medium-low heat.

  8. Step 8

    After 45 minutes, taste and season with salt, pepper, and aromat.
