Tips & Tricks

  1. You will probably have dough left unless you make really big buns or need to make more than 4 burgers. Refrigerate it and make pizza the next day (up to 3 days).

  2. Don't forget to share your creation on social media and tag @dixiechikcooks.

FAQS

  1. Can I use store-bought burger buns instead of pizza dough buns?

Yes, you can use regular burger buns if you don't want to make pizza dough. The recipe will still be fantastic.

  2. What type of ground beef should I use?

Use ground round (80/20) for flavor and juiciness. Avoid lean beef as it may lack flavor.

  3. Can I substitute the cheeses?

Yes, you can substitute Mozzarella and Muenster with other cheeses, but these provide the best stringy cheesiness.

  4. How long can I store leftover pizza dough?

You can refrigerate leftover pizza dough for up to 3 days.

  5. Can I bake the burger patties instead of grilling or pan-frying?

Yes, you can bake the patties, but grilling or pan-frying will give them a better flavor and texture.
