A flavorful and tender beef brisket cooked with beer and aromatic herbs.

Ingredients

4 Servings
(1 serving = 1 slice of brisket)
  • 1tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1piece
    onion
  • 2clove
    garlic
  • 1cup
    beef broth
  • 1cup
    water
  • 1tbsp
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 1tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1tsp
    dried rosemary
  • 1piece
    bay leaf
  • salt and pepper

How to make Beer Brisket

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).

  2. Heat the olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.

  3. Sear the beef brisket in the hot oil until browned on all sides.

  4. Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened.

  5. Add the beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, bay leaf, salt, and pepper to the pot.

  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.

  7. Remove the beef from the pot and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

  8. Serve the beef brisket with mashed potatoes or your favorite sides.

Tips & Tricks

  1. For extra flavor, marinate the brisket in the Worcestershire sauce and herbs overnight before cooking.

  2. Use a sharp knife to slice the brisket against the grain for more tender pieces.
