FAQS

  1. How can I make these sliders healthier for a game day gathering?

To make these sliders healthier, consider using lean ground turkey or chicken instead of ground beef. You can also swap out the American cheese for a lower-fat cheese option or use a dairy-free cheese for a vegan alternative. Additionally, using whole grain Hawaiian rolls can add more fiber to the dish.

  2. What are some good side dishes to serve with sliders for game day?

Great side dishes to pair with your sliders include crispy sweet potato fries, a fresh garden salad, or classic coleslaw. You could also serve some spicy buffalo wings or a platter of assorted dips like guacamole and salsa to complement the sliders.

  3. Can I prepare the sliders in advance and store them for later?

Yes, you can prepare the sliders in advance! Assemble them as directed, then cover and refrigerate before baking. When you're ready to serve, simply bake them straight from the fridge, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time to ensure they heat through.

  4. What can I substitute for the garlic butter in the slider recipe?

If you don't have garlic butter on hand, you can easily make your own by mixing softened butter with minced garlic and a pinch of salt. Alternatively, you can use olive oil or a flavored oil for a lighter option, or even a vegan butter substitute if you're looking for a dairy-free version.

  5. How do I ensure my sliders stay moist and flavorful during cooking?

To keep your sliders moist and flavorful, be sure not to overcook the ground beef. Cooking it just until browned and adding the sauce mixture helps retain moisture. Covering the baking dish with foil during the first part of baking also helps trap steam, keeping the sliders tender.
