How to make 10-minute Asian Style Mashed Potato
- Step 1
Wash and rinse the potatoes then peel and chop into quarters. Peel the garlic cloves.
- Step 2
Boil the potatoes in a pot of water (or stock) with a pinch of salt and half a chicken bouillon cube for about 10 minutes over medium-high heat or until tender. While the potatoes are boiling, prepare the mashed potato seasoning in a separate pan. Melt the butter and add the remaining half of the chicken bouillon cube, all-purpose cream, evaporated milk, and Thai fish sauce. Gently stir for about 5 minutes or until the sauce simmers.
- Step 3
After boiling the potatoes, drain the excess water and put it back into the pot. Mash the potatoes using a fork or a masher (potato ricer for a smoother and creamier texture).
- Step 4
Gradually add the seasoning into the mashed potatoes. Mix well and adjust to taste then serve.
