How to make Malva Pudding
Pudding
In a large bowl, mix the egg and sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
Sift the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, and salt into the egg mixture and mix together.
In a separate bowl, stir the apricot jam, buttermilk, and vinegar until the batter is smooth.
Add the jam mixture to the flour mixture and combine well.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease your muffin pan or any dish you prefer.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20 to 40 minutes.
Sauce
Mix all sauce ingredients in a saucepan and let it boil until the sugar is dissolved.
Pour the hot syrup over the hot Malva pudding as soon as it comes out of the oven.
