How to make Fish Fried Rice

  1. Cook the basmati rice in water until the rice is 90% cooked. Drain and spread it on a plate to cool.

  2. Cut the boneless fish into small pieces and marinate with turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Set aside for 10 minutes.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium flame. Fry the marinated fish pieces until they are golden brown. Remove and set aside.

  4. In the same pan, add more oil. Add finely chopped onion, chopped green chillies, and minced garlic. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.

  5. Add chopped carrots, green peas, and chopped capsicum. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

  6. Add the fried fish pieces to the pan along with the cooked rice.

  7. Sprinkle soy sauce, vinegar, and salt to taste. Mix well and fry for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  8. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Ensure the rice is not overcooked to prevent it from becoming mushy.

  2. You can add other vegetables like bell peppers or corn for extra flavor.
