Chicken Steamed Momos

Ingredients
Dough
- 200gall-purpose flour (maida)
- 1pinchsalt
- water (as needed)
Filling
- 250gminced chicken
- 1pieceonion, finely chopped
- 2tbspcoriander leaves, finely chopped
- 1tbspgarlic, minced
- 1tbspginger, minced
- 1tspsoy sauce
- 1/2tspblack pepper powder
- salt to taste
For Steaming
- 1tbspcooking oil
How to make Chicken Steamed Momos
Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour (maida) and a pinch of salt.
Gradually add water and knead to form a smooth, soft dough.
Cover and set aside for 30 minutes.
Prepare the Filling
In another bowl, mix minced chicken, finely chopped onion, coriander leaves, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, black pepper powder, and salt to taste.
Mix well to form the momo filling.
Shape the Momos
Divide the dough into small equal portions and roll each portion into a thin, round disc of about 3 inches in diameter.
Place a spoonful of the chicken filling in the center of each disc.
Fold and pleat the edges to seal the momos, ensuring there are no gaps for the filling to escape.
Steam the Momos
Grease a steamer basket with oil and arrange the momos, ensuring they do not touch each other.
Steam the momos for 20-25 minutes or until the dough becomes translucent and the chicken is cooked through.
Serve
Serve hot with spicy tomato chutney or any dipping sauce of your choice.
Tips & Tricks
Ensure the dough is soft and smooth for easier rolling and shaping.
Do not overfill the momos to prevent them from bursting during steaming.
