How to make Cheesecake

Prepare the Crust

  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C).

  2. Step 2

Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.

  3. Step 3

Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.

  4. Step 4

Bake for 10 minutes and let it cool.

Prepare the Filling

  1. Step 1

Beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.

  2. Step 2

Add vanilla extract, lemon juice, and sour cream. Mix well.

  3. Step 3

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Bake the Cheesecake

  1. Step 1

Pour the filling over the crust.

  2. Step 2

Cover the bottom of the cake pan with tin foil, as it's going to be in the water bath.

  3. Step 3

Place the cake tin on a baking tray filled with water. Bake in a preheated oven for 50 minutes.

  4. Step 4

After an hour, open the oven door like this and let the cheesecake sit for an hour.

  5. Step 5

After an hour, detach the springform from the cake and let it cool down a bit more.

  6. Step 6

When the cake is completely cooled down, place it into the refrigerator for 4-5 hours.

Prepare the Syrup

  1. Step 1

Melt the butter in a pan on medium-low heat.

  2. Step 2

Add in the jam and sugar.

  3. Step 3

Whisk everything and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Let it cool down completely before using.

Decorating the Cake

  1. Step 1

Clean up all the fruits you are going to use. Cut the strawberries in half.

  2. Step 2

Spread the syrup on the cake. It will ensure the fruits stick.

  3. Step 3

Top the cake with fruits, however you like and enjoy.
