How to make Cheese Grillers Bread Roll
Prepare the Dough
- Step 1
In a large bowl , add the milk , sugar , yeast, and salt . Combine everything using a whisk.

Add the melted butter.
- Step 3
Then, gradually add the flour and mix.
- Step 4
Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-6 minutes until the dough is elastic and soft.
- Step 5
Cover and let it rest and double in size for 45 minutes.

When the dough has doubled in size, divide it into 8 portions.
- Step 7
Roll each portion into a ball. Let them rest for a further 8 minutes while covered.
- Step 8
Roll each ball flatly. I spread the dough with 1000 Islands sauce (this is optional).
- Step 9
Cover each sausage with sliced cheese and place it onto the dough.
- Step 10
Make diagonal slits on the side and fold the slits on to each other.
- Step 11
Place on to greased oven tray, brush with egg wash and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top.
- Step 12
Place into a preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake for 25-30 minutes.
