How to make Egg Fried Rice

  1. Step 1

Crack open the eggs and gently beat them.

  2. Step 2

Heat a wok or khadai and add oil.

  3. Step 3

When it becomes hot, add the eggs and lower the heat. Cook on medium heat. If your pan is too dry, add more oil. When the eggs are just cooked (soft set), sprinkle a little salt.

  4. Step 4

Turn the flame high and add the cooked and cooled rice. Mix it until the rice slightly pops up.

  5. Step 5

Add pepper powder and mix it.

  6. Step 6

Add the soy sauce to the hot wok or khadai. When the sauce hits the hot pan, it sizzles, giving a smoky flavor to the fried rice. Mix it well.

  7. Step 7

Once done, sprinkle some water into the hot wok. This helps the burnt soy sauce mix with the fried rice, giving a nice flavor.

  8. Step 8

Add capsicum and spring onion, then mix it.

  9. Step 9

Turn off the flame. Tasty and easy egg fried rice is ready.
