Ingredients

4 Servings

For the Bolognese Sauce

  • 1lb
    ground beef
  • 1piece
    onion
  • 2clove
    garlic
  • 1cup
    tomatoes
  • 1cup
    tomato sauce
  • 1/2cup
    water
  • 1tbsp
    dried oregano
  • 1tsp
    salt
  • 1/2tsp
    ground black pepper

For the Pasta

  • 1lb
    spaghetti
  • Parmesan cheese

How to make Spaghetti Bolognese

Prepare the Bolognese Sauce

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef.

  2. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is softened.

  3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, oregano, salt, and pepper.

  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.

Cook the Spaghetti

  1. While the sauce is simmering, cook the spaghetti noodles according to the package directions.

  2. When the noodles are cooked, drain them and add them to the skillet with the Bolognese sauce.

  3. Stir to combine and serve immediately, topped with Parmesan cheese.

  1. For a richer flavor, let the sauce simmer for longer.

  2. Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best taste.
