How to make Gond Laddu

Preparation Steps

  1. Step 1

Heat a pan and add one tablespoon of ghee. Fry the almonds and cashews until golden brown, then set them aside on a plate.

  2. Step 2

Add dried coconut to the same pan and roast it on a low flame for one to two minutes. Remove and set aside.

  3. Step 3

In the same pan, add a little more ghee and fry the Gond (edible gum) until it puffs up. Remove and set aside.

  4. Step 4

Add wheat flour and roasted chickpea flour (sattu) to the pan along with ghee. Roast the mixture until it turns light golden brown.

  5. Step 5

Take the roasted mixture and add jaggery and water to it. Heat until the jaggery melts and comes to a boil.

  6. Step 6

Strain the jaggery syrup into the roasted mixture and mix everything well.

  7. Step 7

Shape the mixture into small balls to form laddus. Let them cool before serving.
