How to make Chilli Oil

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    In a pan, heat the vegetable oil until it is very hot.

  2. Step 2

    Add the garlic cloves and sauté until they turn golden brown.

  3. Step 3

    Remove the pan from heat and add the chilli flakes or powder, sugar, soya sauce, and salt.

  4. Step 4

    Mix well and let it cool.

    Once cooled, you can add sesame seeds and sesame oil if desired.

  6. Step 6

    Transfer the chilli oil to an airtight container for storage.
