Chicken and Marinade
- 1kgchicken cut or fillets
- 1/2tspturmeric
- 2tspKashmiri chili powder
- 1tspchili powder
- 1tspcrushed chili
- 1tspcumin and coriander powder
- 1tspchicken spice
- 1tsplemon pepper
- 1tsparomat
- 1tspsalt
- 2tbsplemon juice
- 2tspginger and garlic paste
- 1/4cupoil
Sauce
- 1cupfresh cream
- 1/2cupNando's sauce
- 2tbsptomato sauce
- 1tbspmayonnaise
- 2tbspbutter
- 1tspKashmiri chili powder
- 1pinchsalt
How to make Saucy Portuguese Chicken
Marinating and Cooking the Chicken
Marinate the chicken with the listed ingredients for 1 hour.
Place the marinated chicken on a foiled baking tray.
Top with robot peppers and onion rings.
Place in a preheated oven at 175 degrees Celsius for 1 hour for chicken pieces. Cover after 30 minutes.
For strips, bake for 25 minutes, then turn and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
Preparing the Sauce
Whisk the sauce ingredients together.
Heat the sauce until warm.
Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken.
Serve immediately with chips or spicy rice.
