Most comforting dish from kids to elders

Ingredients

2 Servings
(1 serving = 1 bowl )

For preparation

  • 1cup
    Poha
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1/2tsp
    sugar
  • 1
    lemon
  • 1tsp
    Turmeric powder
  • 1
    onion
  • 1
    Tomato
  • 10
    curry leaves chopped
  • 2tbsp
    peanuts
  • 1tsp
    Cumin seeds
  • paneer for garnishing
  • pomegranate seeds for garnishing
  • 1tbsp
    Oil

Method

Let’s prepare

  1. Take poha in a stainer and wash it thoroughly 4-5 times

  2. Add salt,sugar,turmeric powder and lemon

  3. Give a gentle mix

  4. In a pan put oil followed by cumin seeds,curry leaves and peanuts

  5. Take the peanuts out once it’s fried

  6. Now add onion and tomato along with salt

  7. Add poha into the pan and mix gently

  8. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes

  9. Now add paneer and pomegranate for garnishing

  10. serve hot or pack in your lunchbox

Tips & Tricks

  1. Adding salt,turmeric,sugar and lemon in poha before cooking makes it more fluffy and soft
