How to make Cinnamon Rolls

Prepare the Dough

  1. In a bowl, mix the yeast with the warm milk and let it rest for about 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add the melted butter and eggs, then pour in the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Shape and Fill the Rolls

  1. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.

  2. Spread the softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly on top.

  3. Roll up the dough tightly from the long side to form a log. Slice into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish. Cover and let them rise again for 30 minutes.

Bake and Glaze

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

  2. While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with milk and vanilla.

  3. Remove the rolls from the oven and drizzle with the glaze. Serve warm.
