How to make Modak
- Step 1
Take half a liter of full cream milk and bring it to a boil.

Add three-fourth cup of sugar to the boiling milk and mix well. Let the milk thicken and set it aside.

In a pan, heat one tablespoon of ghee and sauté the chopped dry fruits until aromatic. Remove and set aside.

Add the remaining ghee to the pan and stir in the semolina and gram flour. Cook until lightly golden and aromatic.

Mix in the desiccated coconut, cardamom powder, and a pinch of turmeric powder or yellow food color.
- Step 6
Add the thickened milk to the mixture and cook on low heat until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.

Let the mixture cool slightly, then mix in the sautéed dry fruits and melon seeds.
- Step 8
Shape the mixture into Modak using a mold. Serve and enjoy!
