How to make Homemade Custard Ice Cream

  1. Step 1

Take a kadhai and pour the milk into it. Keep some milk aside in a bowl and mix the custard powder into it until smooth.

  2. Step 2

Bring the milk in the kadhai to a boil. Once boiling, add the custard mixture and stir continuously.

  3. Step 3

Add sugar and stir for 2-3 minutes. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, then turn off the flame.

  4. Step 4

Let the mixture cool down completely, then place it in the fridge for 1.5 hours.

  5. Step 5

In a separate bowl, beat the whipping cream until fluffy. Mix the cooled custard milk into the whipped cream and beat again.

  6. Step 6

Add saffron water or yellow food color if desired, mix well, cover, and refrigerate for 1-1.5 hours.

  7. Step 7

Take out the mixture, beat it again, and transfer it to a glass tray. Cover it and refrigerate overnight.

  8. Step 8

Take out the ice cream, garnish with pistachios and tutti frutti, and serve.
