Prepare Hung Curd

  1. Step 1

    Place a muslin cloth, cheesecloth, or a clean thin cotton kitchen towel over a strainer or sieve. Put the strainer over a bowl to catch the whey.

    Pour the curd into the cloth. Gather the edges of the cloth and tie into a pouch. Hang it over the sink or a bowl using a hook or place it over a tap, allowing it to drip for 3–4 hours.
