How to make English Pudding

  1. Step 1

In a bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until light and fluffy.

  2. Step 2

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and continue beating.

  3. Step 3

Gradually add the flour, previously sifted, and mix until you achieve a smooth, homogeneous batter. Finally, add the baking powder, also sifted, and gently fold it into the batter using soft, enveloping motions.

  4. Step 4

Chop the candied fruits and mix them with the walnuts and raisins. Toss them lightly in flour to prevent them from sinking to the bottom during baking. Add them to the batter and mix gently.

  5. Step 5

Pour the batter into a loaf pan (English pudding mold) that has been greased and floured.

  6. Step 6

    Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30 to 35 minutes.

  7. Step 7

Let the pudding cool completely before removing it from the mold.
