A delicious fried dough snack, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2cups
    all-purpose flour
  • 1cup
    sugar
  • 1tbsp
    yeast
  • 1dash
    dried ground pepper or fresh pepper (optional)

Other Ingredients

  • 1L
    oil for frying
  • 1cup
    warm water

How to make Fried Puff Puff

Prepare the Dough

  1. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl.

  2. Gradually add warm water to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth batter forms.

Let the Dough Rise

  1. Cover the bowl with a towel and place it in a warm area for one hour to allow the dough to rise.

Fry the Puff Puff

  1. Heat oil in a pan or pot for deep frying.

  2. Once the oil is hot, form the dough into balls and carefully drop them into the oil.

  3. Fry until golden brown, then remove and place on a strainer lined with tissue to drain excess oil.

Finish and Serve

  1. Sprinkle sugar over the hot puff puff.

  2. Serve immediately.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Ensure the water is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.

  2. Do not let the dough rise for more than an hour to maintain its fluffiness.
