Ingredients

(1 serving = 1 bowl)
  • 1/2kg
    grated carrots
  • 1/4kg
    sugar
  • 200g
    ghee
  • 1tbsp
    cardamom powder
  • 4piece
    chopped almonds
  • 10g
    chopped cashew nuts

How to make Carrot Halwa

  1. Heat ghee in a pan on medium heat.

  2. Add grated carrots and sauté for 10-15 minutes until they soften.

  3. Add sugar and continue to cook, stirring frequently.

  4. Cook until the mixture thickens and the ghee starts to separate.

  5. Add cardamom powder and mix well.

  6. Garnish with chopped almonds and cashew nuts before serving.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Use fresh and tender carrots for the best taste.

  2. You can add milk or khoya for a richer flavor.
