- 500gbutter
- 1cupicing sugar
- 1cupflour
How to make Shortbread Cookies
Smooth the icing sugar in a clean bowl.
Add the butter and whisk thoroughly until it becomes smooth.
Add sieved plain flour to the mixture and mix together to form a dough.
Cover the dough with transparent nylon and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Bring the dough out and flatten it with a rolling pin.
Place the dough on a baking tray and cut cookies into desired shapes and sizes.
Bake in the oven for 40 minutes at 250°C.
Tips & Tricks
Ensure the butter is at room temperature for easier mixing.
