How to make Besan Barfi

  1. Step 1

    Heat the gram flour in a pan for 2-3 minutes on low flame.

  2. Step 2

    Add clarified butter to the gram flour and cook on low flame for 7-8 minutes until the ghee starts to separate and the color doesn’t change.

  3. Step 3

    In a separate pan, prepare the sugar syrup by mixing sugar, water, cardamom powder, and orange food color (optional). Cook until the syrup thickens slightly.

  4. Step 4

    Combine the cooked gram flour mixture with the sugar syrup and stir continuously until the mixture thickens.

  5. Step 5

    Let the mixture cool slightly and then form it into desired shapes. Repeat the forming process as needed.
