A simple recipe for making delicious eggless churros, perfect for a sweet treat.

Ingredients

3 Servings
(1 serving = 3-4 churros)
  • 1cup
    water
  • 1 1/2tbsp
    unsalted butter
  • 1tbsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1cup
    all-purpose flour
  • oil for frying
  • For Coating
  • 1/4cup
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2tsp
    ground cinnamon

How to make Eggless Churros Recipe !

Prepare the Dough

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. Once boiling, switch off the flame and add the flour all at once. Stir vigorously until the mixture forms a ball. This should take about 1 minute.

  3. Let the dough cool slightly, about 5-10 minutes.

Fry the Churros

  1. Heat oil in a large, deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip (or use a churro maker).

  3. Carefully pipe the dough directly into the hot oil to your desired size, using scissors or a knife to cut them.

  4. Fry until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Coat the Churros

  1. Combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon.

  2. While the churros are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until evenly coated.

Serve

  1. Serve warm and enjoy your eggless churros plain or with chocolate sauce, Nutella, caramel sauce, or any dipping sauce of your choice.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to the coating mixture according to your preference.
