How to make Dadi Special Meethi Roti

  1. Step 1

    Knead the whole wheat flour with water to make a soft and pliable dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out thin rotis.

  3. Step 3

    Place one roti on a flat surface and sprinkle jaggery powder generously over it.

  4. Step 4

    Add chopped cashew nuts and a pinch of cardamom powder on top of the jaggery.

  5. Step 5

    Cover it with another roti and seal the edges carefully. Trim off any excess dough if needed.

  6. Step 6

    Heat a tawa (griddle) and cook the stuffed roti on medium heat until golden brown on both sides.

  7. Step 7

    Add a dollop of desi ghee on top of the cooked roti and serve warm.
