Store milk chocolate chips in an airtight container in a cool, dry, and dark place. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or heat, as this can cause the chocolate to bloom (develop a white coating) and alter its texture and flavor. Proper storage at room temperature (around 65-70°F or 18-21°C) will help maintain their quality for several months. Refrigeration is not recommended as it can also cause blooming due to temperature fluctuations, but freezing is an option for longer storage, just be sure to thaw gradually.
