Chicken tenderloins, often simply called chicken tenders, are the small, boneless strips of meat located underneath the chicken breast. They are prized for their exceptionally tender texture and mild, versatile flavor. Their pale pink color and elongated shape make them easily identifiable. Because they cook quickly and evenly, chicken tenderloins are a favorite choice for quick weeknight meals and are a popular option for healthy, protein-packed dishes. Finding high-quality chicken tenderloins ensures a delicious and satisfying meal.

Chicken tenderloins are highly perishable and should be stored properly to prevent spoilage. Fresh chicken tenderloins should be refrigerated immediately at or below 40°F (4°C) and used within 1-2 days. For longer storage, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and then in a freezer bag, removing as much air as possible, and freeze for up to 9 months. When thawing, do so in the refrigerator, never at room temperature, to minimize bacterial growth. Cook to a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
