    chicken livers

    mushrooms

    puff pastry

How to make Creamy Chicken Liver Pie

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).

  2. Clean and trim the chicken livers, then chop them into bite-sized pieces.

  3. Slice the mushrooms and finely chop the onion.

Cooking

  1. In a pan, sauté the onion until translucent.

  2. Add the chicken livers and cook until browned.

  3. Stir in the mushrooms and cook until softened.

  4. Add cream, paprika, chilli flakes, garlic powder, crushed garlic, and chicken BBQ spice. Stir well and simmer until the mixture thickens.

Assembly

  1. Roll out the puff pastry and line a pie dish with it.

  2. Pour the chicken liver mixture into the pastry-lined dish.

  3. Sprinkle grated mozzarella over the top.

  4. Cover with another layer of puff pastry, sealing the edges.

  5. Beat the egg and brush it over the pastry top.

Baking

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.

Serving

  1. Garnish with parsley before serving.
