Ingredients
For Manchurian Balls
- 3cupscabbage, finely chopped
- 1/2cupcarrot, finely grated
- 1tspchilli powder
- 1/2tsppepper powder
- 1/2tspsalt
- 1tspginger garlic paste
- 1/4cupmaida
- 2tbspcorn flour
- oil, for deep frying
For Manchurian Sauce
- 2tbspoil
- 1piecechilli, chopped
- 5clovegarlic, chopped
- 1inginger, chopped
- 1/2pieceonion, chopped
- 2tbspspring onion, chopped
- 1/2piececapsicum, chopped
- 2tbsptomato sauce
- 2tbspvinegar
- 2tbspsoy sauce
- 1tbspchilli sauce
- 1/2tspsalt
- 1/2tspchilli powder
- 1/2cupwater
- 1tspbesan or gram flour
- 1tspcorn flour

Preparing Manchurian Balls
In a large bowl, combine cabbage, carrot, chilli powder, pepper powder, salt, and ginger garlic paste.
Squeeze and mix well to ensure everything is well combined. The cabbage will release water, which is enough for binding. Do not add extra water.
Add maida and corn flour. Mix well to form a dough. Do not add any extra water.
Grease your hands with oil and prepare small ball-sized portions.
Deep fry the balls in hot oil over medium flame, stirring occasionally until they turn golden brown and crisp.
Drain the excess oil and set the balls aside.
Preparing Manchurian Sauce
Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped chilli, garlic, and ginger. Stir fry on high flame.
Add chopped onion and capsicum. Stir fry on high flame.
Add tomato sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, chilli sauce, salt, and chilli powder. Stir and mix well until all the sauces are combined.
Add water to prevent the sauce from burning.
Prepare a corn flour slurry by mixing corn flour with water. Pour the slurry into the sauce and mix well.
Cook until the sauce turns glossy.
Add the fried cabbage balls and spring onion. Mix gently to coat the balls uniformly with the sauce.
