    coarsely ground mustard seeds

  • 1tsp
    roasted cumin powder
  • 1/4tsp
    black pepper

For Vada

  • 1cup
    soaked urad dal
  • 1piece
    green chili
  • 1in
    ginger
  • 1pinch
    asafoetida
  • 1tbsp
    mustard oil

How to make Holi Special Matka Kanji Vada

Preparation of Kanji

  1. Mix water and spices together.

  2. Allow the mixture to ferment for 1-2 days.

Preparation of Vada

  1. Make a fluffy batter from soaked urad dal.

  2. Fry the batter until golden brown.

Final Assembly

  1. Add the fried vadas to the kanji.
