How to make Brioche Buns

  1. Step 1

    In a bowl, whisk in warm milk, warm water, white sugar, yeast, egg, canola oil, and salt.

  2. Step 2

    Sift in the flour one cup at a time in between mixing using a wooden spoon.

  3. Step 3

    When all the flour is added, use your hands to knead until a smooth dough forms.

  4. Step 4

    Knead the dough for an additional 1-2 minutes after adding one tablespoon of oil to it.

  5. Step 5

    Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for about 50 minutes.

  6. Step 6

    After 50 minutes, place the dough on a flat, floured surface

  7. Step 7

    Shape the dough into buns and place them on a baking tray. Cover with cling wrap and let them rise for another 40 minutes.

  8. Step 8

    When they have risen, brush the top part with the milk and sugar mixture.

  9. Step 9

    Topped them with sesame seeds.

  10. Step 10

    Place them into a preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
