FAQS

  1. How can I make authentic Butt chicken karahi in a slow cooker instead of a pressure cooker?

To make Butt chicken karahi in a slow cooker, start by sautéing the onions, ginger, and garlic in a pan. Then, add the chicken, tomatoes, and spices, and transfer everything to the slow cooker. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender. Finish by adding butter and cooking on high for an additional 30 minutes.

  2. What are some good side dishes to serve with Butt chicken karahi?

Butt chicken karahi pairs wonderfully with naan, raita, and a fresh salad. You can also serve it with steamed basmati rice or a side of roasted vegetables for a complete meal.

  3. Can I substitute desi chicken with regular chicken for this recipe?

Yes, you can substitute desi chicken with regular chicken, but keep in mind that desi chicken has a richer flavor and firmer texture. If using regular chicken, adjust the cooking time as it may cook faster than desi chicken.
