A flavorful onion curry perfect for serving with dosa.

- 5pieceonion
- 1/2cupvegetable oil
- 1tbspmustard seeds
- 1tbspjeera
- 1tbspturmeric powder
- 2tbspred chilli powder
- 1sprigcurry leaves
- 1sprigcoriander leaves
- 1pinchsalt
How to make Onion Curry for Dosa
Heat the kadai on the stove and add vegetable oil.
Add mustard seeds and jeera. Once they start to splutter, add curry leaves.
Add turmeric powder and chopped onions. Fry until the onions become brown.
Add red chilli powder and a little water for gravy. Continue to cook until the onions are nicely fried.
Garnish with coriander leaves. The onion curry is ready to be served with dosa.
Tips & Tricks
Adjust the amount of red chilli powder according to your spice preference.
Ensure the onions are well browned for a richer flavor.
