Softness of cake and convenience of cookies all in one.

Ingredients

10 Servings
(1 serving = 2 pcs )

Dry Ingredients

  • 3cups
    all purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2tsp
    Baking powder
  • 1/2tsp
    Cinnamon
  • 1/4tsp
    mixed spices (tea masala)
  • pinch
    of salt

Batter

  • 1/2cup
    Margarine (or butter)
  • 1/2cup
    oil
  • 1cup
    sugar

Wet Ingredients

  • 1
    egg
  • 1/4cup
    milk
  • 1
    TBP vanilla essence
  • 1/2
    lemon juice and zest (medium)

How to make Shally's CooCakies

Forming the dough

  1. Prepare the baking tray with grease proof paper or brush nonstick spray

  2. Measure all the dry ingredients and Sift them together into a bowl then set aside

  3. In a jug whisk the wet ingredients together till well blended and set aside.

  4. In a large bowl, Cream margarine, oil and sugar till soft and fluffy.

  5. Fold and alternate the dry and wet ingredients into the batter and mix till nice soft dough is formed (not sticky)

  6. Put the dough into a piping bag with an open star tip. pipe evenly nice rosette shapes. (Or as desired)

  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15min or until ready. (Golden brown)

  8. Allow to cool and serve. Enjoy!! 😊

Tips & Tricks

  1. Use smarties/candies to decorate the dough before baking to give the cookies a fun look.
