    Okro
  • 1piece
    Onion
  • 1cup
    Red oil
  • 10
    fresh pepper (Yellow or red)
  • 1piece
    Azu okponku (Dried fish)
  • 1piece
    Okporoko (Stockfish)
  • 2piece
    Ice fish (Air-fried a little)
  • 2tbsp
    Crayfish
  • 2piece
    Maggi cubes
  • 1tsp
    Salt
  • 10piece
    Kpomo
  • 1tsp
    Ground pepper (optional)

    Ugu leaves
  • 2

How to make Nigerian frying method Okro Soup😋

  1. Get all your ingredients ready.

  2. In a pot, add your washed fish and season it with salt, Maggi, and onion. Cook for about 3 minutes. Remove the cooked fish and set aside.

  3. Add stockfish, dried fish, and kpomo to the pot. Cook until done. Remove and set aside.pour out ur stock water to use same pot or use a different pot to continue cooking

  4. In a pot, add red oil and allow it to heat a little.

  5. Add onions, salt, blended or grinded fresh pepper and seasoning cubes. Fry for a little while.

  6. Pour in your okro and stir. Keep stirring until the okro becomes a bit slimy, about 3 to 4 minutes.

  7. Add crayfish and Stir well.

  8. Add the stock from your proteins along with okporoko, kpomo, and dried fish. Stir and cover to cook for a little while.

  9. Add washed Ugu leaves , cover and stir very well.

  10. Add your cooked fish. Stir and taste to adjust seasoning. Cook for few seconds

  11. Your Okro soup is ready.serve with agidi , fufu or any swallow of your choice
