  • 400mL
    hot milk
  • 20g
  • 10g
    dry yeast
  • 80g
    butter (melted)
  • 2piece
  • 850g
    tender wheat flour
  • 1tsp
  • 1piece
    egg yolk
  • 1tsp

How to make Bread with Milk and Butter

  1. In a container, put the milk, sugar, dry yeast, melted butter, and eggs. Mix well.

  2. Add the tender wheat flour and salt, then mix.

  3. Knead to achieve a soft and smooth dough. Cover and let sit for 1 hour or until the dough has doubled in volume.

  4. Punch down the dough to release the air.

  5. Divide into 27-30 portions and form balls, then stretch and roll the dough.

  6. Place in a greased mold, cover, and let sit until the dough has doubled in volume.

  7. Brush with an egg yolk mixed with 1 teaspoon of milk. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 25 minutes.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Ensure the milk is warm but not too hot to avoid killing the yeast.

  2. Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic for the best texture.
