    Peel the mango fully.

    Using a sharp knife, slice it thinly lengthwise. You will notice that the slices lay close to each other.

    With the help of both your hands, give the row of slices a slight twist, elongating it so that it resembles a snake.

    Gently coil this 'mango snake' around itself to form a spiral, shaping it into a beautiful rose.

    Lift the rose carefully with the help of a spatula and place it on your pudding, cake, or salad.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Use firm but ripe mangoes—overripe ones may be too soft to hold shape.

  2. Also choose mangoes with less fibre, Alphonso, Kesar and Safeda are some recommendations.

  3. Slice as thin as possible for a delicate, layered look.
