Crispy Chicken Burger!

Crispy Chicken Burger is delicious and made with tender and marinated chicken fillets. The fillets are coated with a crispy golden crust and topped with lettuce, sauce, avocado mix, and a slice of cheese. Enjoy them for lunch, dinner, or a delightful weekend treat with loved ones.

For Marination

  • 8
    Chicken fillets
  • 1tsp
  • 1tbsp
    Paprika Powder
  • 1tsp
    Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/2tbsp
    Onion Powder
  • 1/2tbsp
    Garlic Powder
  • 1tbsp

For Coating

  • 3cup
    All-purpose Flour
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1/2tbsp
    Paprika Powder
  • 1tbsp
    White Pepper Powder
  • 3cup
    Chilled Water

To Serve

  • 8
    Burger Buns
  • 1/4
    Iceberg Lettuce (shredded)
  • 8
    Cheese slices
  • 2in
    Tomatoes (cut rounds)
  • 2
    Avacado (mixed with a spoon of lemon juice)
  • Oil for frying


For Marination

  1. Place chicken fillets on a flat surface and cover them with a sheet of cling film.

  2. Use a rolling pin or a mallet to pound the chicken fillets until even thick.

  3. Make slight slits on the chicken fillets and set them aside.

  4. In a large mixing bowl, place the chicken fillets.

  5. Add salt, paprika powder, cayenne pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and vinegar to the bowl.

  6. Mix the ingredients well, cover the bowl, and let the chicken fillets marinate for at least half an hour.

For Coating

  1. Combine all-purpose flour, salt, paprika powder and white pepper powder in a flat bowl to make a flour mix.

  2. Coat each marinated chicken fillet with the flour mix, tossing it a few times to ensure an even coating.

  3. Dip the coated chicken fillet in chilled water for 10 seconds.

  4. After dipping in chilled water, coat the chicken fillet again with the flour mixture. Set aside.

  5. Repeat the process for all the chicken fillets.

For Frying

  1. Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over high heat.

  2. Gently place the coated fillets into the hot oil, frying them in batches.

  3. Fry the fillets for 3-4 minutes on one side. Then gently flip them using tongs or a slotted spoon.

  4. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until the chicken fillets are golden and crispy.

  5. Take the golden brown chicken fillets out and place them on a kitchen towel to absorb excess oil.

  6. To check if the chicken is tender from the inside, cut it into the thickest part of the chicken. It should be white from the inside.

To Serve

  1. Cut a burger bun in half. Lightly toast the buns in a pan or a griddle with little butter or oil to give them a golden and slightly crispy texture.

  2. Stack the burger bun with tomato sauce, avocado mix, fried chicken fillets, tomato slice, cheese slice and shredded lettuce. Repeat the process for the remaining burger buns.

  3. Serve the chicken burgers with a side of potato fries and a cold drink!

Tips & Tricks

  1. You can add additional spices according to your taste preferences.

  2. Chilling the water used for dipping the chicken fillets helps in creating a crispier coating.

  3. While frying the chicken fillets, avoid overcrowding the pan as it can cause the temperature of the oil to drop, resulting in soggy chicken.

  4. Adjust your burger toppings with sliced onions, pickles, or your favourite sauces to enhance the flavours according to your preference.
