Ingredients

5 Servings

For Marination

  • 15
    Chicken Wings
  • 1/2tbsp
    Black Pepper Powder
  • 1tsp
    Degi Mirch Powder
  • 1/2tsp
    Garam Masala
  • 1/2tbsp
    Salt

For Sauce

  • 3tbsp
    Barbeque Sauce
  • 3tbsp
    Tomato Sauce
  • 2tbsp
    Honey
  • 1/2tbsp
    Chilli Flakes
  • 1tsp
    Garlic Powder
  • 1tsp
    Black Salt

For Tempering

  • 3tbsp
    Oil
  • 1tbsp
    Garlic (chopped)
  • 1tbsp
    Lemon Juice

Method

    1. Mix the black pepper powder, degi mirch powder, garam masala, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add chicken wings and toss until they are fully coated.
  1. Pierce the wings with a fork or a knife to help the spices penetrate the meat. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least an hour to marinate.

  2. In another bowl, prepare the sauce by mixing barbeque sauce, tomato sauce, honey, chilli flakes, garlic powder, and black salt until combined.

  3. Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat. Add chopped garlic and cook until it turns slightly golden.

  4. Place the marinated wings in the pan and cook for 15-20 minutes. Flip them occasionally until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked.

  5. Once the wings are cooked, pour the prepared sauce over them and toss until fully coated. Cook for another for 3-4 minutes.

  6. Check the seasoning and adjust to taste. Add lemon juice and mix for a few seconds.

  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Use fresh wings instead of frozen ones.

  2. Depending on your preference, you can adjust the amount of chilli flakes and black pepper powder used in the recipe. If you like your wings to be spicier, add more chilli flakes or black pepper.

  3. Taste the wings before adding lemon juice to adjust the seasoning as needed. If the sauce is too sweet, add more tomato sauce or black salt to balance the flavours.

  4. The number of people this recipe can serve can vary depending on the size of the chicken drums and the portion size per person.
