How to make Bread Burfi
Soak the bread slices with milk in a bowl. Once they are soft, gently crush them with your fingers until they become soft and mushy.
Heat ghee in a pan over low heat.
Add desiccated coconut and sugar to the pan. Keep stirring continuously until the mixture turns slightly brown in colour.
Add the crushed bread mixture to the pan. Stir and mix until everything binds together and the mixture becomes smooth and consistent.
Add in the coarsely ground nuts and mix them into the mixture.
Turn off the flame and transfer the mixture onto a plate lined with butter paper.
Flatten the mixture evenly with the help of a spatula and press it down firmly.
Allow the mixture to cool and then place it in the refrigerator to firm up.
Once it’s firm, take it out and cut it into shapes of your choice.
