A flavorful and spicy grilled or roasted corn dish with a tandoori marinade.
Ingredients
For the Marinade
- 1cupyogurt
- 2tbsptandoori masala
- 1tbsplemon juice
- 1tspred chili powder
- 1tspturmeric powder
- 1tspcumin powder
- 1tspgarlic paste
- 1tspginger paste
- Salt, to taste
- 2tbspoil or melted butter
For Garnish
- 1tbsplemon juice
- 2tbspfresh cilantro, chopped
How to make Tandoori Corn
Prep the Corn
Husk and clean the corn, removing all silk.
Make the Marinade
In a bowl, mix together yogurt, tandoori masala, lemon juice, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garlic paste, ginger paste, salt, and oil or melted butter.
Marinate the Corn
Coat each corn cob with the marinade thoroughly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Grill or Roast the Corn
For grilling: Preheat the grill and cook the marinated corn for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until charred.
For oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C), place the corn on a baking tray, and roast for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway.
Garnish and Serve
After cooking, drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with fresh cilantro. Serve hot with dipping sauces if desired.
Tips & Tricks
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of chaat masala before serving.
If you prefer a milder taste, reduce the amount of red chili powder.
