  • 1 1/2cup
    cow ghee
  • 2cup
    wheat flour
  • 1cup
    sugar powder
  • 1 1/2cup
    dry fruits, chopped or coarsely ground
  • 1/8cup
    gond
  • 1cup
    makhana/fox nuts
  • 1tsp
    saunth/dry ginger powder
  • 1tsp
    ajwain
  • 1tsp
    elaichi powder

How to make Atta Gond Pinni

  1. Keep the flame low to medium. Add the ghee in portions.

  2. Heat 1 tbsp ghee, fry the gond, and keep aside.

  3. Roast the fox nuts, keep aside, and grind in a mixer when it cools down.

  4. Add 1 tbsp ghee to the pan, heat, add saunth, ajwain, and wheat flour. Roast the flour, keep adding the remaining ghee.

  5. When it turns light golden, add elaichi powder and the gond foxnuts mix.

  6. Keep roasting on medium flame for 3-4 minutes.

  7. Add coarsely ground dry fruits, cook again for 3 to 4 minutes on low heat, or till it leaves ghee.

  8. Cool down and add sugar powder.

  9. Mould into pinnies.
