A sweet and crunchy caramel popcorn snack.
Ingredients
4 Servings
(1 serving = 1 cup of popcorn)
- 1/2cuppopcorn seeds
- 2tbspgroundnut oil or butter
- 1/2cupsugar
How to make Caramel Popcorn
Place a pan on the stove and add groundnut oil or butter.
Add the popcorn seeds to the pan and mix well. Cover the pan and let the popcorn pop, shaking the pan repeatedly to prevent burning.
Once popping is complete, wait a moment before opening the lid, then transfer the popcorn to a bowl.
In the same pan, add sugar and melt it, being careful not to burn it. Pour the melted sugar over the popcorn and mix quickly with a spatula before it hardens.
Tips & Tricks
If desired, milk can be added to the popcorn for a creamier texture.
