Egg Roll Bowl recipe

Ingredients

4 Servings
(1 serving = 1 bowl)
  • 1lb
    ground pork
  • 1tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 1
    small yellow onion, diced
  • 2clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1
    small carrot, julienned
  • 2cups
    shredded green cabbage
  • 1/2cup
    green onions, chopped
  • 4tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 1tbsp
    fresh ginger, grated
  • 2tsp
    sugar
  • 1dash
    sesame seeds
  • 1dash
    Sriracha
  • 1cup
    cooked white rice

How to make Egg Roll Bowl

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add ground meat and cook until browned.

  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, Sriracha, and grated ginger.

  3. Push the meat to one side of the pan, and sauté onions and garlic for 1-2 minutes. Add shredded carrot and cabbage and cook for 3-4 minutes until soft but still crunchy.

  4. Pour in the sauce and mix everything together. Add some sesame seeds then taste and adjust with extra soy sauce if needed.

  5. Serve over a bowl of rice and top with some more sesame seeds and a drizzle of Sriracha for some extra heat. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks

  1. For a low-carb version, serve over cauliflower rice instead of regular rice.

  2. Adjust the amount of Sriracha to your preferred level of heat.
