- 1lbpork tenderloin, cubed
- 1piecebell pepper, diced
- 1pieceonion, diced
- 1/4cuppineapple chunks
- 1/4cupketchup
- 2tbspvinegar
- 2tbspsoy sauce
- 1tbspcornstarch mixed with 0.25 cup water
- dashoil for frying
How to make Sweet and Sour Pork
In a wok or large pan, heat oil and fry the pork until golden brown. Set aside.
Sauté bell pepper and onion for 3 minutes.
In a bowl, mix ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, and pineapple.
Add the sauce to the pan with vegetables, stir in the cornstarch mixture, and bring to a boil until thickened.
Add the pork back in, stir well, and serve over rice.
Tips & Tricks
For extra flavor, marinate the pork in soy sauce and a pinch of sugar for 15 minutes before frying.
You can add other vegetables like carrots or snap peas for more variety.
