    caster sugar
  • 3 1/2tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 4clove
    garlic
  • 2tbsp
    chili flakes
  • 1tsp
    chili powder
  • 1tsp
    soy sauce
  • 1tsp
    cornstarch
  • 2tbsp
    cold water

How to make Sweet Chili Sauce

Combine Ingredients

  1. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, add the caster sugar, vinegar, minced and sliced garlic, chili flakes, chili powder, and soy sauce. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.

Simmer and Thicken

  1. Let the mixture simmer gently for about 5-8 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
