Vojvodina cuisine from Serbia's northern autonomous province reflects the region's exceptional ethnic diversity — Serbs, Hungarians, Slovaks, Romanians, and others have created a culinary melting pot on the fertile Pannonian plain. Hungarian influences bring paprikás and gulyás, while the flat farmland produces excellent wheat, corn, and pork. Signature dishes include kulen (spiced cured sausage), fish paprikaš from the Danube, and čvarci (pork cracklings).
