Lankaran Recipes
Lankaran cuisine from Azerbaijan's subtropical southern Caspian coast is distinguished by its use of citrus, tea, rice, and an abundance of fresh herbs. The region's humid climate supports unique ingredients not found elsewhere in Azerbaijan. Lavangi — chicken or fish stuffed with walnut and sour fruit paste — is the signature dish. Lankaran is also famous for its tea culture and a distinctive style of tandir bread.
